I'm UGLY [Aug. 8th, 2007|06:34 pm]

Your Score: Claude

You scored 29 Idealism, 50 Nonconformity, 33 Nerdiness

Everyone's like the rest. That's why they're the rest.
Congratulations, you're Claude! You're the classic cynical hermit with a secret heart of gold somewhere underneath it all. You're also a mentor whose teaching methods may or may not involve making fun of your young learner's hair and punching them in the face. You have seen and experienced a lot of negative things from people, but people really haven't seen much of you. Your best quality: You're a misanthrope, and can be quite amusing. Your worst quality: You're a misanthrope, and probably aren't very happy.

2006-2007 [Jan. 4th, 2007|04:15 pm]
[mood |shleepy]

2006 has been a steep learning curve filled with changes on all fronts. curved balls have been thrown right left centre.

dodge or/and deal.

lost some, won some.

grown ALOT (mentally, emotionally and sadly, sideways.)

im glad i found God again.

in 2007, i look forward to things getting better at home, in my personal life and on the work front.

i hope i have the chance and moolah to slow down and smell the pwetty frowers.

eat and not pile on the pounds.

thank you all for being there.

HUAT! HUAT! HUAT AH!

:P

the migrant pursuit of happiness [Dec. 20th, 2006|11:41 am]
[mood |like that lor]

zach and friend came to visit today. they recounted what happened to them on the streets.

teenage girl approached them collecting donations for migrant workers. being the phd pursuer of economics (and weird-ass gep boy) that he is, z's friend told teenage girl, "if you really want to help the migrant workers, we have to re-look at some of the public policies in this state."

dot dotz.

feeling bad, he caved in and donated a dollar.

he did add that if he was feeling nasty, he would say that he could possibly proof that someone in teenage girl's family was probably making the family more comfortable some way or another with the help of a migrant worker. if she did really want to help the migrant worker, can she do with being less comfortable?

it does sound easier to just give a dollar and feel good about christmas.

if you want to give a group, you have to take away from another.

clever as this sounds, there is nothing warm and fuzzy about it.

----

on a completely irrelevant note, this boy was most impressive and witty. i am probably not doing enough justice to him by recounting what he said in my poor prose. sadly, he is geeky and ugly. colin and i both agreed that most people will probably not see past his appearance.
